We have many different classes for your family! All of our classes have a small student/teacher ratio. We pride ourselves in knowing each child and their needs, focusing on those needs while providing constructive and positive coaching. We have a warm relationship with the children and the children feel very comfortable with each teacher. Parents love the fact that their children feel at home while at The Jump Spot. Our environment is perfect for those children who are over-stimulated in a large facility, as we have areas that enclose each class. For instance, the preschool classes are in one area of the facility and the tumbling and fitness classes are in another. To see when each class described below is offered, please view the Class Schedule.
Ages: walking to 2 years · Student/Teacher ratio: 8:1 · Class Duration: 30 minutes
In this parent/child class, the little ones focus on exploration while working their way through circuits designed for their little bodies. The children work on climbing, jumping, balancing, dancing, following directions (yes, this CAN be done!), and socialization with their peers. In addition, we teach the kiddos interactive songs that focus on body parts, large motor skills, and following direction skills. You will be amazed how much fun this class is, AND it will wear both of you out!
Ages: 2 to 3 years · Student/Teacher ratio: 8:1 · Class Duration: 45 minutes
This parent/toddler class is perfect for those wanting to work on getting through the challenges of a busy two year old! Following directions and multiple step directions, colors, numbers, shapes, and motor skills are a focus of this class. We incorporate climbing, large motor skills, swinging on the bar, walking on the beams, jumping on the trampoline and into the foam pit, rolling down the hills, and the very beginnings of cartwheels and handstands. This class can act as a good transition into the Froglet class where the child is without the parent or adult! We will slowly try to increase their amount of independence in this Tadpole class. We can’t forget the upbeat music that is used to warm the children up! The warm up activities are always a big hit with the Tadpoles!
Ages: 3-4 years · Student/Teacher ratio: 7:1 · Class Duration: 45 minutes
This class is much like the Tadpole class, but they get to enjoy the class without a parent! This is a wonderful way to introduce your child to the class environment, with a parent close by (but not too close! 🙂 ) This can be a tricky transition for the 3’s as this is the age of testing the limits and boundaries. We ask that the parents be patient with the children as they learn to navigate their way through a class without their parent! We get the kids started by opening with a “follow direction” activity. Once all the kids are engaged, we move our bodies to an opening song, which can differ each week. In this level repetition and structure are important, so we always have a set opening, middle and end to our curriculum. We use either balls, balloons, shapes, colors, numbers or letters into the lesson plan each week. Our goal in this class is to teach the children to move through a circuit independently, focusing on multiple directions while having fun! Skills learned in this class are handstands, cartwheels, forward and backward rolls, and many more! We teach these skills in a way that these 3-4 year olds can understand, using visual aids along the way. Don’t miss out on this very popular class!
What is the difference between Froglet 1 and Froglet 2?
Froglet 1 is for children transitioning from the Tadpole class and for children who have not participated in a group setting. Froglet 2 is for children who have had previous class experience or are 4 years old.
